Well, I have found that the easiest approach to do this without using software or network both computers is to create a folder on your hard drive call transfer. In this folder you can create sub-folders call my documents, my music, mp pictures. Back all of your background onto a cd-rom or dvd-rom and load it onto your tentative hard drive. Simple!

Know that you can singular move your data and installable program files to your strange computer. You cannot move installed programs like Office and such. (Well, you can but they won't work)
