When you see intel Pentium 4 630 Prescott 3.0GHz LGA 775, what does the 630 represent?

Like when u look at:

Intel Pentium 4 650 Prescott 3.4GHz LGA 775

or

intel Pentium 4 541 Prescott 3.2GHz LGA 775

what do the 541, and 650 represent? And also the mark Prescott, were these processor's name after someone?

When you see intel Pentium 4 630 Prescott 3.0GHz LGA 775, what does the 630 represent?

Yes, the higher number routine faster. When Intel releases a new cpu "core" they up the first number surrounded by the number set. The 650 is a newer core than the 541. The biggest difference between the two chips is the fact that the 650 supports 64 bit computing and the 541 doesn't. If you plan to use this cpu for a while, seize the 650 for that reason because 64bit will purloin over the computer world in a couple of years. (Windows Vista, OSX and every OS after these will be 64 bit)
prescott is the codename of the processor and 541 and 650 is the model no.
The complex the 3 digit number is the faster the processor is. On a scale of 0 to 1000, the 541 is slightly slower than the 650.
