What's the difference between a 'Master Reboot to factory settings' and 'Reformatting your harddrive'?

Can both take rid of viruses? Please give support to me and explain in simple turns.

Thanks within advance.

"Reformatting firm drive" means, that you blank everything from your computer. It gets rid of the virus, but you will have to install window and all the other programs again.

"master reboot to factory settings" depends on the appliance. Usually it means that if you changed some settings and messed it up, you can reset them wager on to default settings next to this. It wont probably help you near viruses.
this method all the software and drivers will be reset to evasion as it was when you get the pc your documents and pictures will not be effect,,,reformat means everything will be compltetly erased,,the drive will be re-partitioned and formatted, adjectives software and drivers will be re-installed,the computer will be just resembling it was when you brought it home, and turned it on for the first time
