I enjoy already tried norton ghost near no success. I freshly got a tentative 250GB WD to replace my old 160GB. Is near a way to clone the old-fashioned drive over to the new one?

I enjoy used acronis true image, and guess it's great. Much more reliable than norton has be.
Ghost works very economically, as does Acronis. If Ghost doesn't work I would be concerned that there is some problem next to the drive or your procedures. In the dozens of drives I've duplicated that is the lone time I've seen Ghost founder.
You can easily clone your frozen drive using True Image by Acronis.
