What's the difference between an AGP card and your regular Video Card?
What's the difference between an AGP card and your regular Video Card?
In answer to your grill No you do not need to use an AGP card. This is a event of personal preference as to card.
the slot type it plugs into . regular could indicate built-in the motherboard or an old pci ... and the most modern slot is pciexpress ..
AGP is an accelerated graphics port its a more direct and quickly slot. You have to hold a motherboard with an AGP slot to use an AGP card
AGP is your "regular video card" nouns type. A card that says it is AGP will be a card that plugs into this type of slot.
It is the innovative port designed specifically for Video Cards. "Accelerated Graphics Port = AGP".
PCI-e or PCI Express16x is a newer, higher bandwidth port for video adapters.
AGP - Accelerated Graphic Peripheral
The is currently 3 formats, PCI, AGP and the newer PCI-E or express, the elder PCI is not as capable or quickly as AGP, and now the PCI-E have surpassed the AGP quality and speed.
I perceive the PCI-E is best, but if that is unattainable, a good alternative is and AGP, presently 128mgs are reasonable, and if you enjoy a newer computer, your able to to run a 4X or 8X.
