Whats the difference between DDR2 PC2-5300 667MHz and DDR2 PC2-4200 533MHz?

DDR2 PC2-5300 667Mhz means that the throughput of information transfer of this RAM is 5300MBps and the RAM executes its opeartions at 667MHz while

DDR2 PC2-4200 533Mhz method that the throughput of data verbs of this RAM is 4200MBps and the RAM executes its opeartions at 533MHz.

Definately the former is better but more expensive.

You motherboard should be able to support the RAM if you want to install the RAM contained by your system. Read the motherbaords manual to see if your motherboard supports it.
Your memory will run at the speed of the slower memory. As have already been said, receive sure the memory is compatible with your motherboard.

Also Crucial have a utility, to check your computer and tell you what you necessitate for memory.
