What's the difference between "mini USB" and simply "USB"?

They're both usb 2.0 so what's the difference?

What's the difference between "mini USB" and simply "USB"?

They both are 2.0. Mini USB is used for things similar to portable Hard Drives, Digital Cameras, Cell phones, and other small devices. There are actually pretty a few different shaped USB ends for different devices. Hope that answers your question.
no a short time ago the size..

mobile things use it..

i.e. my canon camera

my moto q cell phone/
mini USB is smaller and cant transfer as much info as rapid

its usually used for connecting small electronics like cell phones
Physically smaller connectors.
I agree - it is with the sole purpose a smaller connector. Both standard and "mini USB" can be USB 2.0 (faster) or USB 1.1 (slower). Most devices currently produced are USB 2.0 but since they are compatible you can just plug it contained by and it will work - if it is USB 1.1 you will just find a slower transfer rate.
